Baylor Chamber Singers Concert
April 28 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pmFree
Enjoy the sounds of around 20 of Baylor’s finest singers, this elite chamber choir focuses on developing choral artistry and a high level of musical fluency through mastery of a wide variety of repertoire—from the Renaissance through modern works—preparing young singers for future professional careers in singing and teaching. Recent members of the Baylor Chamber Singers have received contracted positions with professional choral ensembles such as the Phoenix Chorale and Transept, and young artist programs like the Voces8 Academy and Aspen Music Festival Professional Choral Institute. Founded over 55 years ago by the late conductor/composer, Dr. Robert Young, the Baylor Chamber Singers are a pillar of choral tradition at Baylor University.
Concert to be performed at the Independence Baptist Church – the church Sam Houston himself attended while he was alive.
