Brenham/Washington County has many fabulous attractions for your group to enjoy whether it’s a day trip or a week-long vacation. We have created four sample tours divided by proximity. To truly enjoy all that the Washington County area has to offer, we recommend you take your time while visiting these attractions. Don’t forget to call each attraction to make group tour reservations.

DAY ONE: Brenham

10:00 am    Blue Bell Creameries
11:30 pm    Lunch and Shopping in downtown Brenham’s historic Main Street District

Brenham has many dining options. Downtown Brenham has seven different restaurants to choose from if you want to drop your group off and let them eat and shop at their leisure. If you want to be gathered together, depending on your size these may be your best options: The Cannery Kitchen, Must Be Heaven, Los Cabos Mexican Grill & Steakhouse, Volare. Be sure to CALL AHEAD to arrange your lunch time.

1:30 pm    Brenham Heritage Museum

Option 1:
3:00 pm   Giddings Stone Mansion and
4:00 pm   Giddings-Wilkin House and/or Ross Carroll Bennett House

Option 2:
3:30pm   Watch “The Dawn of Washington County” at Historic Simon Theatre and learn about the history of this 1925 Vaudeville theater.

Option 3:
3:00 pm   Saddlehorn Winery, Windy Winery and/or Pleasant Hill Winery, Texas Star Winery

DAY TWO: Independence / College Station / Navasota

9:00 am    The Antique Rose Emporium

DAY THREE: Chappell Hill and Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site

11:00 am   Lunch at Bevers Kitchen (homestyle food, downtown Chappell Hill) or Chappell Hill Bakery & Deli (BBQ, south of downtown) and shopping on Main Street

2:15 pm    Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site

DAY FOUR: Burton and Round Top/La Grange

4:00 pm    The Jersey Barnyard (northeast of La Grange)

 Option 2:
10:00 am    Round Top Festival Institute (concerts on weekends) or Shopping in Bybee Square and Henkel Square in Round Top
12:00 pm    Lunch at Royer’s Café
1:30 pm    Winedale Historical Complex
4:00 pm    Bluebonnet Pottery & Gift Gallery

Note: Official Antique Week in Round Top is held the first weekends in April and October.
